KAI KREUSER - Grimme-Award nominated director and writer
Kai Kreuser is a Grimme Award-nominated director and screenwriter from NRW. In 2018, he completed his directing studies at the International Film School Cologne with his multi-award-winning drama LABEL ME as a performance scholarship holder of MMC Movies GmbH. The film won the Max Ophüls Prize in 2019 and was nominated for both the Studio Hamburg Nachwuchspreis and the First Steps Award. His online series KUNTERGRAU (2015-2020) is one of the most successful queer series in Germany with almost 12 million views worldwide, subtitles in 16 languages, a web video award and a nomination for the Grimme Award. Other projects include his work as screenwriter for the seventh season of the Grimme Award-winning series DRUCK (funk/ZDF). He is currently developing a feature-length film commissioned by SWR.
